The front of the house, wrapped and ready for stucco. The roofing materials have been delivered and partly installed! The roof itself looks like it is already 100 years old. Very cool.

The drywall on the great room wall, including the fireplace.

This is the front of the great room. You can see the entry at the left. The doorway at the bottom, center goes into the guest bath and the guest room. The stairs down are also off that hallway. The two big arned windows in the picture face out to the covered landing where guests will come to the front door. The opening you can see behind the scaffolding on the left is the door itself. It is being custom m ade from one piece of wood. It is arched and will be just beautiful.

Ken and James decided to put a little storage area above the laundry room. We had to order a special door for this!

The vent hood, partially drywalled.

This is the hood for the 48" cooktop James ordered. It's a DCS with 5 burners and a griddle. You can see it at: http://www.dcsappliances.com/indoor/detail.php?id=11 in the configuration at the bottom of the page. I'm hoping to get even more good meals out of him now!

The pool, post-gunite! The next step is to add rocks and then plaster and fill it. That won't happen until we're ready to move in. Probably late January, when the concrete flatwork gets finished.

The doors arrived today!

The nook in the kitchen as it is getting drywalled. This is a MESSY process. There is junk all over the house now. But boy, this is real progress!

The cement coat is on the outside deck. Next step is the stone. You can also see the pool in the background here.

The pool receiving it's gunite lining. They spray it on 13" thick. Trina, Tom, and I wateched the whole thing. It was cool, and we sat on the upstaris deck like we lived there! Euler cane and chilled too. Oh yes -- he's conquered the staris and then some. He scampers up and down all over the place!

The back of the house now that it is wrapped. The stucco coat will be applied pretty soon.

The garage was the first thing to have the drywall installed. It looks completely different now.
