Progress

No pics today, but the cement crew did remove the boards from the initial foundation pour and they'll be starting on the retaining walls tomorrow. I'll get pics up this weekend.

Euler & me Posted by Hello

Hey there

Welcome to the blog. I'm going to use this for several things, mostly related to my new house, Euler (the dog) and Tigger (the cat) and miscellaneous life stuff.

The house is being built at 1805 Park Drive in Roseville, CA. The neighborhood is called Whispering Canyon, and yes, it's a pretty as it sounds, and as trite as it sounds! It's a typical Roseville gated community full of custom homes. Our lot is #32.

The house was designed and is being built by Chris Taylor.

The lot is very pretty. It's a gently sloped lot that backs up to a federal nature resreve, so I'll have a permanent park in my back yard.

The house plans are in .dwf files. I'll get them on line soon.

The building of the house is finally underway. As of today, the first pour of the foundation forms has been done! This created an outline of the garage, the upstairs and part of the downstairs. The next pour will finish all the retaining walls -- both downstairs and the en dof the driveway, plus the miscellaneous stuff left to do. The third pour (whew!) is the garage floor. Then the framing begins! I'll put some pictures of the progress so far up today.
